Hi, all!

I'm a newbie here, currently helping to prepare a children's songbook, and working hard at getting the copyrights and other source information. I hope that some of you may be able to provide the clues we need for a few cases I haven't resolved yet.

One piece, "Autumn Comes", is labelled as an English folk song, and it appears on the web on sites like this:
http://www.bethsnotesplus.com/2013/11/autumn-comes.html

Here's the lyric of the first verse:
Autumn comes, the summer is past, winter will come too soon;
stars will shine clearer, skies seem nearer, under the harvest moon.

To be sure that this is in the public domain, I'd want to see that it was published in some book that is now out of copyright. On the other hand, if anyone has seen it published with a specific attribution and copyright, I'd especially want to know about that.

Past threads have said that a song with this title was published in these two sources. If anyone has access to them, they might provide some info.

"Hollis Dann Song Series, Part One" (1935) : http://mudcat.org/Detail.CFM?messages__Message_ID=1203810

"Early One Morning", edited by Jaffke and Maier, a Waldorf songbook from Germany : http://mudcat.org/thread.cfm?threadid=37207

Thanks for any tips you can provide!
