Pittenweem ia small fishing vilage along the Eask Neuk of Fife, as is Anster (the local pronunciation of Anstruther another place mentioned in the song.

As noted elsewhere in DT it was written by John Watt - a lovely wee gentle love song


Here's a version sung by Bob Blair (also a Fifer) along with Stramash with Finlay Allaison playing some delightful sympathetic imprioisations on the mandoline
