Amos, HTML stands for HyperText Markup Language. It marks text up, how it is displayed is decided by the browser. So if you want black text, definitely black with nobody able to change that, then HTML is not your tool. Better to use a Desktop Publishing package, failing that a Word Processor, to create a PDF or postscript file.

Is a music forum the correct place to be asking this question? Should you be asking a Tech forum, or just Googling with enough context in your question to provide the answer you need?

We can just ignore it as irrelevant to music, unless you can provide a reasonably good amount of information which shows that, in Australian parlance, you are "fair dinkum" and not just yanking our chain.

If you look around Mudcat, you'll find many answers to your questions. The FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions thread should help you find your way around. We also have a number of edited information threads called PermaThreads® - one is the Mudcat HTML Guide, and that tells you how to make <font color=black>Black Text</font > and even <font color=orange>Orange Text</font >.

But anonymous posting is not intended to give regular users a place to hide. It is available to let occasional or one-time visitors to stop by with a musical question or comment without identifying themselves. If people intend to be "regulars," then they should identify themselves, and they should not abuse the privilege of anonymity that is available to people who don't come here often.

A lot of the threads you start seem to be intentionally annoying, and you often start threads when there is already an existing thread that answers your question. If this keeps up, we may have to block your access to Mudcat.
