Subject: RE: Vivien Richman? From: Elmore Date: 27 May 17 - 03:51 PM Vivien had a good strong voice. Her album on Smithsonian Folkways is quite interesting. Thanks to Babypix for calling it to our attention. Wish I knew more about her. Perhaps some Pennsylvanian Mudcatters could be of assistance. |
Subject: RE: Vivien Richman? From: Elmore Date: 27 May 17 - 11:05 AM If you google this singer you can get a fair amount of information about her. She was a friend to Pete Seeger and Woody Guthrie. Art Thieme recorded a song he got from her on his album "Chicago and Points West". Selections from two of her recordings can be found on YouTube. She died in the 1980's. |
