Subject: Lyr Add: THE JUMPING JACK (Johnny Moore, 3 Blazers From: Jim Dixon Date: 02 Jun 17 - 06:40 PM Here's my transcription by ear. There are still several words I'm unsure of. THE JUMPING JACK As recorded by Johnny Moore's Three Blazers Stop! Wait! Look! and let me show it. Not too fast; first we slow it. Just one time, then you'll know it. There's the other jumpin' jack; you leap and do a …(?) drop. While standing in the track, you turn and make a short stop. Now let your body slide, then bounce it like a jumpin' jack, a jumpin' jack. Then you do it on your heel, you stomp and let your work(?) smack. Now shuffle like a seal; it's got the kick of cognac. And then your senses reel; it's fun to do the jumpin' jack, jumpin' jack. REPEAT LAST VERSE. |

Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Johnny Moore's The Jumping Jack From: GUEST Date: 03 Jun 17 - 06:08 AM Thanks again Jim!!!! "There's the other jumpin' jack". I thought it was "Let's do the jumpin' jack" "...you stomp and let your work(?) smack." Jumping Jack toys were made generally from wood, so could it be "wood" instead of "work". Does it make sense? |
