Subject: RE: Radio: Episode XIV 'New Studio' Thread From: Liam's Brother Date: 16 Dec 99 - 11:01 AM The video portion seems mostly uses arses and shirt buttons as ornaments so I'm glad you saved the audio portion.
All the best, |
Subject: RE: Radio: Episode XIV 'New Studio' Thread From: Max Date: 16 Dec 99 - 10:53 AM I saved all the audio, but lost the video which is OK. Wasn't much to see anyway right Aine? It may be a little quirky, but I listened to the entire thing and it seemed OK. I'm not falling for this fake millenium hype. Last show of 1999? We'll think of something... |
Subject: RE: Radio: Episode XIV 'New Studio' Thread From: alison Date: 16 Dec 99 - 09:26 AM how much did you save for the archive?... I tried to access it after 45 minutes... but there seemed to be nothing there...... slainte alison |

Subject: RE: Radio: Episode XIV 'New Studio' Thread From: Áine Date: 16 Dec 99 - 09:01 AM Dear Max and Bert, Great show as usual guys! Now, let's work on the decor -- I suggest a fake fica tree, a couple of framed prints, a keg in the corner, a 'Mudkitten' serving drinks in a French maid's outfit, and maybe some funny hats . . . what d'ya think? Seriously (ha!), you do realize that the last Mudcat Radio broadcast of the century is coming up??? Any special plans for this one -- like maybe a full TWO HOUR broadcast?? -- Áine |
Subject: RE: Radio: Episode XIV 'New Studio' Thread From: katlaughing Date: 15 Dec 99 - 09:33 PM Take it easy, Max. Whatever you can get is fine, ya know? We still luvya no matter what. Jeri, thanks for the info, now I will yell at the phone company, although everyday when I go out I watch the progress of the digital cable which is getting laid up our way, then look out! kat |

Subject: RE: Radio: Episode XIV 'New Studio' Thread From: Max Date: 15 Dec 99 - 08:50 PM We ended the show around 8:25pm EST or so. I ran out of hard drive space and the archive was being created, and file got kind of screwed up. I am trying to save it now, so it may be available in an hour or so. I think we lost the video of it, but the first 15min (so far) of the audio seems fine. I'm crossing my fingers. Jees, so many things to consider when doing this show. |

Subject: RE: Radio: Episode XIV 'New Studio' Thread From: Mbo Date: 15 Dec 99 - 07:54 PM This is my first time listening to the show, it rules! Hearing the Mudcatters perform is so exciting! Max, it's good to hear your Philadelphia accent--makes me feel right at home to hear others that sound like me! Down here in NC it's all Southern accented people asking me where I'm from because I say things "weird." (Sigh) Now if I could only get some of my own music recorded... --Mbo |

Subject: RE: Radio: Episode XIV 'New Studio' Thread From: Jeri Date: 15 Dec 99 - 07:30 PM Kat, the net congestion has to do with the phone lines between you and Mudcat. The only people who can do anything are the phone company. I've had horrible problems with other places I've lived. |
Subject: RE: Radio: Episode XIV 'New Studio' Thread From: katlaughing Date: 15 Dec 99 - 07:22 PM I also keep getting dumped out of it from Real Player, which is a new Version 7 freebie. Do they design them to do that on purpose! |
Subject: RE: Radio: Episode XIV 'New Studio' Thread From: katlaughing Date: 15 Dec 99 - 07:18 PM Does anyone know if anyhting can be done about net congestion? The last several shows I've finally given up becasue of it. Thanks, Max, it's okay, whenever you get to it. luvyaKat |

Subject: RE: Radio: Episode XIV 'New Studio' Thread From: Áine Date: 15 Dec 99 - 07:04 PM Kevin McGrath, better known as Mudcatter 'McGrath of Harlow' -- He's mentioned that he has sent a tape to you with some songs -- So, I'm guessing it would have been a 'personal' tape and not one with a label. Thanks for looking darlin', Áine |
Subject: RE: Radio: Episode XIV 'New Studio' Thread From: Max Date: 15 Dec 99 - 06:59 PM Kat, to tell you the truth, I've been going though all the music sent to me all day, and I've barely made a dent. I have been encoding it all for easy access for the show. Yet another endless task added to my life. I'm kind of enjoying this one. I'll get em all eventually. Aine, I'll look, but I am not sure. What label? |
Subject: RE: Radio: Episode XIV 'New Studio' Thread From: Áine Date: 15 Dec 99 - 06:38 PM Max, If you have something of Kevin McGrath's, would you please play it? Thanks in advance and congrats on your brand new 'playpen' -- looking forward to seeing it tonight!! -- Áine |
