I always tie a tie with a Windsor Knot, but by definition a hitch is defined as holding rope to an object, as in a clove hitch. A tie is a rope on an object surely? So a Windsor Knot is really a hitch, and you do hitch it up! Windsor is mentioned in the article re garter. |
