Subject: BS: Trump - not what it says on the can
From: Big Al Whittle

got a fb share share from old friend and guitar buddy Ken Nicol yesterday - an article about Trump. It was mainly just saying the bleeding obvious - he was a dangerous clown, promoted above his abilities, nauseating looks - you know the sort of thing one's wife says about you in the heat of the moment.
but it got me thinking about DT. i really couldn't disagree more. Dumb as he may appear - i think he's smarter than most of his critics. And i think the signs are everywhere.
he reminds me so much of Mrs Thatcher.
An image that enrages. A trayful of goodies to appease the unions (remember free collective bargaining that Scargill went for and took the inflation rate sky high.)
And yet this apparently silly housewife had seen beyond these apparently stupid moves.
What i'm saying is that once Trump has put a wrecking ball through Obama's attempts at improving society - i wouldn't be at all surprised if he has some terrible unimagined vision for the USA.

your thoughts....?

I think a lot of trumps support is due to the trump / pence team support on traditional Christian values . There are a lot of believers in USA so a lot of them voted for him . It's called politics and democratic process I believe . He is already delivering by defunding planned parenthood , and potentially saving the lives of thousands of Americans thereby. At the very least joe public is not forced to fund this barbarism now

No, pete, its called blatant hypocrisy and pretty sickening into the bargain.

And pete- you're against abortion? Fine, then don't have one and stop messing about with others people you have no business messing about with.

Greg we all have a say in how society is run, your response to Pete is simplistic.

Do you really believe that the mother has the right to say what happens to her child in all cases?
Society is supposed to protect from abuse....there are rules concerning abortion, and I am certainly opposed to the killing of unborn children in the interests of convenience.....or stupidity.

You might want to try to think beyond your old white man's ignorant and outdated view of the world and try to understand that many of the situations mothers-to-be might find themselves in requires both understanding of the complexities of each case and compassion and empathy to deal with.

Trumps' idiot laws are blunt instruments that are allow neither compassion or nuance to be applied to very difficult situations, and should be treated with the contempt such moronic approaches to human suffering like this deserves.

Christian? Hypocritical bastards.

lol now I get McGrath's post.

All of Trump's strengths are somewhat fraudulent, self serving, nefarious, evil, decadent, dishonest, grasp of conspiracy theory consensus, greedy, opponent effacing, self deluded, narcissism and social psychopathic.

His weakness lies in the area of general knowledge, history, complex thought, empathy, rational opinion formation, libido control, cohesive lie formation and understanding metaphoric speech.

I assume the can says; the best most perfect (____) in all the history of the universe...

This is a real 'snatch 22' even for his base.

you're not getting what i'm saying.

stop judging him on a moral basis.

think for a minute.

a millionaire - as was Thatcher many times over because of Dennis. unlike thatcher from one of the top richest families in the country.

but he doesn't act like someone from another sphere - like Jacob Rees Mogg.

he thinks what do the blue collar boys want?
and he tells them they can have it. like Thatcher with her offer of 'free collectve bargaining'.

that's smart.

now of course if you piss in the water supply - it will have consequences. Thatcher had worked out the consequences.

i bet this guy has.

I'm sorry Al I disagree with you on his smarts. He has lost billions left to him by his father. He is a disastrous, double dealing, cheating big baby who is waaaay out of his depth as POTUS.

He saw the presidency as a money making opportunity which would make him very important for a while. He is a joke, a very dangerous joke for the World. He is intolerant of anyone who dares to disagree with him or tries to stand up to him. He doesn't follow any religious dogma so feels no loyalty to any creed beyond his own. All religions teach tolerance and kindness to others, he just doesn't get that and sees it as weakness.

US needs rid of him soonest.

interesting vectis!

the fact remains - he has defeated an awful lot of 'intelligent' people to get to where he is already.

the moral weaknesses you describe is like decrying the great white shark for not being a hippy. i doubt if he sees that as weakness.

and however he's spent his inherited wealth - he's cut enough of a dash to become POTUS. this is hardly a trajectory of failure.

i think you underestimate this man at your extreme peril.

Not quite, Al - he's just smart enough to hire much smarter people to work for him, to bail him out of his screw-ups amd make him look good. That's always been the case.

He seems to have a penchant for stupidly cutting his employees off at the knees and making them look foolish- and this could come back to haunt him.

That doesn't mean I underestimate the potential damage the gang of
deplorables he's put together can do.

Surely when people point out Trump's faults it's not in the hope or expectation of changing him, that would be silly.

Pretty obviously those character failings are a major part of what has got him up to where he is. (And may serve to ensure his fall in time.)

The reason people might go on about them is to encourage others to see them for what they are, and see him for what he is, and maybe to be repulsed. That may be pretty hopeful so far as most of his supporters are concerned, but it's not irrational in itself. And it might help nibble away at the edges.

I'm sure there is a record of his IQ somewhere. The guy did go to school, after all.
I suggest that he is playing to a different drummer, and not even his family knows the tune.
For one thing, He is a BS artist. This does not make him a liar OR a truth teller. This makes him someone who has no relationship with the truth at all to even KNOW or CARE that he is lying. He is like Rush Limbaugh, only with power.
Pence is probably a more normal sort of politician, but with the kind of morals that simper religious while not preventing him running with Trump.

Trump is a narcissist. All else follows.

Trump started with a big fortune, and he made it bigger by knowing when to risk, and when to cheat. Smart is one word. Worthy ain't.

He has had success in monetary terms, and being a narcissist he has to show off his achievements, with glitter. However:

Money is power but like all addicts there is one power he didn't have so he went for it, and cheating was not his worry. Russia will be one day!

Our worry is what heights must he migrate to to sate his addiction now?

Honest Don beat crooked Hillary. Fair and square is in question. The Russians hacked only 29 US State's voter registration lists. That is about what American Republicans do quasi legally. For example Georgia republican authorities eliminated all 'double voters' from voter registration. What is a double voter? Anyone who has the same first and last name like 'James Brown'. Never mind different middle names and ages, if your name was James Brown you were not allowed to vote.

There was a republican talking point that Putin is a better leader than Obama for over a year before the election. Republicans got their wish either by coincidence or collusion. We don't yet know for sure.
To bad we will not share the Russian free health care plan for everyone there since 1996.

My point is that everything Russian is not bad. Putin's personal economic corruption is bad and Trump wants a piece of that kind of personal profit. I believe Trump has already failed at dropping Russian sanctions for personal profit. That means he still owes Russia and is in increased jeopardy.

note to my detractors- If you want links to everything I say, find them yourself. Hint - They are not on Brietbart.

Putin is a far better leader than Trump, anyway, so far as competence is concerned. I'd imagine in moral terms it would be pretty even stevens.

Clearly it's absurd to suggest he's not extremely intelligent. Stupid, and maybe crazy, are a different matter.

I envision the next GOP primary celebrating Trump having risen above the law although many of his current surrogates will have fallen from prosecution , from being fired and even falling from liberal gun play.

With the sound track of the Magnificent Seven blasting at 140 decibels and a laser light show, a 60 ft. high hologram of Trump will appear with the remainder of his cabinet and Scalise on crutches hobbling   below the Trump hologram. Some surrogates are wearing gun belts.

The crowd goes wild as the soundtrack switches to 'proud to be an American'.

In an administration where words have no meaning beyond an insult or denial, we should remind everyone; no matter what your occupation or wealth, you are only as good as your word.

Donald Jr. and Jared both admitted to talking with a Russian lawyer about Russian information of value from e mails in the Democrat's campaign.

This is after they forgot to mention it.

back to the present

In the US the right got their Citizens United decision to allow unlimited donations to a candidate with secret super funds and limited super funds. This action made it possible for the Chinese army to secretly give to our candidates.

It is a small step for the right to allow foreign governments to participate in all sorts of actions to influence our elections.
SUDDENLY some people feel that treason, collusions and espionage is the way to go to win elections against Democrats.

The right was given an inch and they took a mile.
Americans must each decide if the Republicans may be allowed to commit treason as long as it assures they win. Democrats would be held accountable as traitors but a republican is just doing what they need to do to defeat evil liberal nigger loving god hating democrat
terrorists.

Treason, its what's for dinner and will be on conservative plates for years to come.

Oh Waiter -   I'll have a side dish of collusion and foreign extortion for dessert!...its OK, I'm Republican. thanks

Even if Donald Jr, Jared and Mannifort did not take the Hillary dirt from the Russian lawyer, it is still soliciting. Even in the possibility they did not take any Russian dirt it is like going to a drug dealer and they found out the dealer did not have thier brand of coke so they left without buying. I think they bought Russian government information.

Trump senior asked for Russian intercepted emails publicly.

Now the White House is saying IT IS A MASSIVE HUGE NOTHING BURGER> weak
