I just posted a new thread "Caroline Paton moves to Nursing Home." Her health has declined to the point that she can no longer live easily in a home setting. Please read the thread for more info. It's mostly a mobility issue.

I spoke to Linnea at the booth at NEFFA, and she said the same things that Catherine posted above. I hadn't read that post until know. It is reassuring to know that Caroline's family is caring for her.

Mine was a chance encounter with the young woman at the Folk Legacy booth. I was browsing when I saw an LP by the Patons and hadn't read the woman's name tag, but when I saw the LP I said, "Oh, do you know how Caroline is doing?" She told me of her their relationship and filled me in. I was close to my expense level for the festival so I didn't buy anything or ask her to accept some money for Caroline's care, and I don't do anything with money online. However, I am seeing someone soon who has already donated to the Go Fund Me page and hope to remember to bring money with me that she can pass on.

Hello, Just seeing this and want to let everyone know that Caroline is staying with my family in Falls Village Ct. She has mobility issues and likely will be getting joint lubrications shots in the knees which can help for about six months, then wear off.

That said, she did enjoy going out recently (with a video of her singing on the GoFundMe.com page, Caring for Caroline, Time to Give. Many thanks to all who have helped out and contributed.

She is in good spirits but it is challenging not being able to walk much. We have a wheelchair and can get her to appointments a couple of times monthly. Meanwhile, Linnea is running a Folk-Legacy booth at NEFFA.

I don't know what was wrong with her, but in May, she was having problems with a leg (ankle, maybe?). The walking, combined with not seeing, would make Old Songs difficult to navigate. I hope there is no fresh crap.

Third year in a row I didn't make it, and I miss it. It's expensive for me (mostly because of my choices - in reality, the festival itself is cheap-cheap, but then I stay in a hotel and buy stuff). I do miss seeing everybody.

She wasn't at the Old Songs festival due to illness, and I haven't heard a thing since. Any news?
