Tried both. Prefer PLi at the moment but am I missing anything?

I'd not even heard of either. Regular PC and mythtv with a TBS dvb-s2 tuner card for freesat and an external hdhomerun for freeview here. PC does other things, most recently adding handling 4 ip cameras so it's not just running for tv.

(well tv part is down at the moment after a disk failure. I ve a new disk but I think it will be a few days before I fit it)

Ah well. Not enough geeks to make a good thread I suppose :-)

Thanks anyway, Jon. I came across a WD 500Gb SATA drive in the attic the other day but it is probably duff. You are welcome to it if you want to see if it does work. Just PM me a land addy to send it.

Cheers Dave but I have a disk. Just other things will make fitting it difficult for a few days.
