Subject: Lyr Req: Over My Shoulder From: GUEST,Daniel Date: 25 Jul 17 - 09:00 AM First time poster, long time follower. Searching for full lyrics for a tune I heard in the 1990s in New England folk scene. Can't be sure whether it's older than that or was passed around to the artists I was hearing, but I also can't recall who I heard sing it. Melody has stuck with me for years. Anyone know it? VERSE: You were walking down Main Street dressed up for the kill Time hadn't changed you, time never will I almost stepped up when you stopped for the light But something inside me said it just wasn't right. CHORUS: So I walked away like I did long ago Without looking over my shoulder No words of greeting, no kind face to show. Just feeling a little bit older. OTHER VERSES? |
