Subject: My new Fender Paramount PM1 guitar From: Big Al Whittle Date: 29 Jul 17 - 05:33 AM just bought this new guitar. i had to sell two others to buy it. and i got it cheaper because they had damaged the carboard box it was in and they had to put it in a martin cardbord box to send it me. i bought it for two reasons. i always like fender upmarket acoustics. my first serious guitar was a Fender F85 , back in the 1970's and I wish every day I'd hung onto it. The other was the Adirondack Spruce top, which i didn't know much about, but it sounded cool. The guitar itself doesn't disppoint though it seemed to play and sound immediately better when I changed the strings for extra lights. The notes seem to articulate better, and the chords hang together well - which isn't always the case when you extra lights. It seems very light in construction. But then most of my other good guitars have been Yamaha, which have a reputation for being overbuilt. I would welcome other thoughts by people who have bought this new range. |
