Date: 26 Aug 17 - 01:12 PM First, let me reprise my posting of 4 years ago: "I don't always agree with McCain - hell, I RARELY agree with McCain, but he's intelligent, educated, rational, capable of critical thought and grounded in reality(most of the time). Once again, he confronts tRump's racism and idiocy and disregard for Constitutional rights: "McCain issued a statement after Trump's announcement, saying it undermined the president's professed respect for the rule of law. "No one is above the law and the individuals entrusted with the privilege of being sworn law officers should always seek to be beyond reproach in their commitment to fairly enforcing the laws they swore to uphold," McCain said in the statement. "Mr. Arpaio was found guilty of criminal contempt for continuing to illegally profile Latinos living in Arizona based on their perceived immigration status in violation of a judge's orders. The President has the authority to make this pardon, but doing so at this time undermines his claim for the respect of rule of law as Mr. Arpaio has shown no remorse for his actions." Damn!! I may end up actually LIKING McCain. As for the other gutless wonder Republicruds........ |

I do not know if they were hired or not. As a consequence of banning trans gender soldiers from combat Trump has given Jamie Farr aka Klinger his life long desire , a section 8 to get out of the Army;^/ |

Twitler's pardon of the old jackass is sending a message to law enforcement officers all over the country that racial profiling is just dandy and they needn't worry about repercussions for it. Couple that with his urging Long Island cops to give arrestees rough treatment and you've got a real formula for "making america (fill in the blank) again". |
