I am looking for the tune of a JAZZ INSTRUMENTAL piece that is named something like "The Memory of Me".

I was told the title but have forgotten it - oops!

It might perhaps be entitled "IN Memory of Me" or "The Memory of YOU". Or some such. The word "Memory" was definitely in the title.

BTW: no, it's not the Neil Simon song "Hooked on the Memory of You"! ,-)

All I can remember of the artist's name is that he is named Jared (I don't know if that is a surname or first name!).

It's an instrumental piece; there are no vocals.

Any ideas?

I've found on Spotify:

IS THIS JUST A MEMORY, by Ryan Dulmaine and Jared Gaudette; it's on the various-artists albums "Compilation 2014" (2014) and "Kimbo Records Vol. 1" (2014). It might be classified as jazz, but I would call it electronic dance music.

MEMORIES, by Jared Jackson, from the album "Memories" (2015), is similar. It's mostly instrumental, but there are some short vocal segments.

MEMORIES, by Jared Clark, from the album "Soul Vibrations" (2014). This is instrumental, but it uses some conventional (that is, not electronic) instruments, mainly piano. Sounds kinda new-agey.

Is it possible you were thinking of Keith Jarrett? He plays jazz piano, but I couldn't find a piece with "memory" in the title.

What are the main instruments in the instrumental, e.g. piano, brass, strings, saxophone, clarinet, etc. It might help in the search for the music.

Also, where/how did you hear it, e.g. on CD, or TV, or on the radio.

It would not be " Memories of Tomorrow" by Keith Jarrett would it I believe he has an instrumental of name,

Keith Jarrett. I was trying to think of that name. All I could think of was Al Jarreau - another name from the same era.
