Sorry, Nigel! Herself used to collect hippos in all media except flesh (she's stopped but people keep giving us more, we're thinking of renaming our house the Hippodrome!) so this song has significance to us!

A couple of weeks ago Chris Evans played "I want a hippopotamus for Christmas" on his morning show on Radio 2.
It was an earworm. It took me a couple of days to shake it, now you've brought it back . . .
