Thanks for fixing the formatting Joe! Steven has himself changed some of the countries mentioned in the last verse in line with world events,as you'll see from the version I posted, and the one Joe put up.
Ian Bruce was in fact the judge at that songwriting competition I mentioned above, and asked Steven for permission to record it.
It us also sung by the following Edinburgh and Lothians singing groups: Linten Adie, Sangstream, Sangschule, Scots Music Group singing classes, and more.

Written by friend and excellent songwriter from near Glasgow, Steven Clark in the 2000s: he submitted this song in a songwriting competition in which I also took part: not surprisingly, he won! Now sung by just about every community singing group and in every singin session in Scotland!
