On Sunday 1 October at 6pm, Gavin Paterson's special guest on his Celtic Music Radio show   is Barbara Dickson.

Barbara has two very good reasons to celebrate in 2017 – she marks her 50th anniversary as a professional musician and also turns 70 years of age. She isn't slowing down though – far from it. She is out on the road right now, marking the release of a new double album recorded live with her great road band "In Good Company".

In the show Barbara talk about her earliest musical life in the folk clubs of Scotland and England, through to becoming actress of the year – twice – in London's West End. Collaborations with everyone from Archie Fisher to Andrew Lloyd Webber. And we play music from ever part of that career.

I'll declare my identity (I've been Jorrox on here for a long time) - I am Gavin Paterson, the fella who was lucky enough to get to interview Barbara. What a story she has to tell - I can't think of anyone that touches so many bases but is still 'one of us'.
