Morrigan will be singing and playing again next weekend at the Lancaster Music Festival. The whole town comes alive with every style of music imaginable and we will be flying the flag for traditional folk with a mixture of Vaughan Williams Collected songs, autumn and winter songs and some tunes at some great venues. Have a good time. Lancaster was my home town for ten years or so, and I still have family up there. I left there nearly fifty years ago, so don’t recognise many of the venues, but there was always lots of excellent music in the city to listen to and to contribute to.

The regular Sunday evening (tunes) session in the Golden Lion will have to go elsewhere next weekend, because the pub has booked a band to play. Seems ironic, but I guess it'll sell more beer.

We had a great time in Lancaster with enthusiastic audiences at all our venues. Here we are at the Ashton Memorial in Williamson Park - the lively acoustics make us sound more like a full blown choir that just four people
