Subject: RE: 2017 Obit: Irish musician-producer Eamonn Campbell From: Teribus Date: 20 Oct 17 - 05:23 AM Very sorry to hear the news. I met him a few times at festivals and concerts. My abiding memory of him though, was his amazing impersonation of Elvis Presley performed in the bar of Acton's Hotel in Kinsale sometime in the mid-1970s. Close your eyes and listen it was perfect then open your eyes and look and you damn near split your sides laughing - especially when it came to his line - "I'm on drugs {Sniff} I'm all fucked up". |
Subject: RE: Obit: Eamonn Campbell From: mg Date: 19 Oct 17 - 04:42 PM oh no. I really really liked his at least youtube personality and playing. |
Subject: Obit: Eamonn Campbell From: Dave Hanson Date: 19 Oct 17 - 11:12 AM Very sad to hear of the passing of Irish musician and producer Eamonn Campbell. He played for a long time as a much loved and respected member of The Dubliners, a fine musician and renowned record producer, he very clearly loved playing with the Dubs. RIP Eamonn. Dave H |
