Just heard that Morrigan will be supporting Martin Carthy at the Wassail Night on 1st December this year.

Book early for Folk Legend Martin Carthy when he returns to Charlton House on December 1st for the GFMA Wassail Night. Tickets available at We got tickets ?9 or ?12 on the door 7.30-10pm doors open at 7pm

There's a convenient way to chase down an answer to the questions.

You can click on the membername, "Sarah - the - flute," where it is blue-clicky highlighted.

That link will take you to all that member's posts.

There you will observe, as I just did,
that "Morrigan" figures prominently in her postings, early and recent,
where you can read what she has to say about it.

And then there's Martin Carthy.
He is represented by Alan Bearman who has his own website;
the Martin Carthy appearances page on Alan Bearman's website
can tell you where, when, and how. All this stuff is out here
and ready to be looked up.

Apparently Martin has had a fall and dislocated his shoulder.

It is curious that
when I pull up the Alan Bearman link
for a list of Martin Carthy's concert dates,
Charlton House on 1 December
is conspicuous by its absence.

The shoulder injury is reported
on the Facebook link for
Mansfield Palace Theatre,
where Carthy was to have performed,
and had to cancel.

No news is not always good news.

Still over a week to go so perhaps things may become clearer soon.

Although not a fan of Facebook it does appear there is more relevant information there.

The agent has been in touch with the GFMA organiser and he is definitely playing at Charlton House this Friday. Thanks for pointing out the absence of gig information on his website - they are also going to correct this!

Excellent evening with Martin Carthy who was on really top form. It was his first gig since the shoulder accident and seemed rested and gave a brilliant performance. It was lovely to chat with him before and after the show. We were really thrilled to be the only support act and also received fantastic feedback from the audience. It was also lovely to see familiar faces including Tony Foxworthy and Barry from Skinners Rats.
