When I was a kid in the 1950's, my whole family used to love the George Gobel show. How we laughed, but I never appreciated how good a singer he was.

Also on YouTube you can see an episode of the Johnny Carson Show with George Gobel, Bob Hope and Dean Martin. Once Gobel comes on, the other two might as well not be there.

I do remember one bit of his - he told about how, instead of an electric guitar, he played a gas guitar.

Sorry, I won't post the lyrics, which are probably copyrighted.

Yodel fans, do you notice the angelic smile as he yodels? Notice the upraised (sometimes) eyebrows? They help with the tone and the high notes.

I find the monologue a little tiresome, but the yodeling resumes at 5:02.
