there are buyers online but you have to use their 'quality' scales about condition. A fair amount of effort is involved (and often postage) In my experience they offer peanuts for items you can see they are already selling at high prices. Profit is OK but don't be ripped off by these people.
So a local vinyl shop is preferable- a lot less effort & easier to walk away, but folk etc is a bit specialized for such places...

Try selling to local enthusiasts by word of mouth first.

I gifted a small box, about six ounces of printed items to the EU this week.

The value was below about 20.00 USD. Personal art works in the form of small greeting cards

The shipping cost was $53.O0 which included the box. Using USPS.....they VAtT stated that there was little value.

Once Upon a time I could ship to Europe for next to nothing. The thin tissue letter with envelope and stamp were God-sends to connect with friends and family...the fourth carbon copy sheet required some "Decoding Skills" from the reader.

THE usps SAYS "everything is air...there is no more 6-week surface delivery.

Uncle Sam done thrown my friends...away.

I too have a lot of obscure folk (Irish and American folk LPs mostly) by unknown artists. Probably around 40 to 50 LPs and folk CDs too.
However, it is a little harder for me as I don't have a car and have to take buses to the post office (in California) so I cannot take too many at a time. Some are more with a rock style (folk rock) but I have tried record shops (none that close to me and involves 3 buses each way) to get to Claremont, California which would be my closest record store. They are not that big in dealing with folk LPs and you are lucky if they give you one dollar for an obscure folk LP.
I don't really want to go to Ebay to sell.
Tried once putting an ad in the local Recycler Newspaper (free to place ads for things to sale) only got one phone call. Guy came by and just bought about 7 or 8 LPs. Tried putting an ad in again but no one called at all so I don't really know how to sell them.

Dear Lin,

Since you mentioned Claremont I highly suggest that you e-mail musician Ben Harper's music store and see if they have any interest.

Newspaper Article:

Folk Music Center's Webpage with contact info:

These are wonderful people.

Sincerely,
Gargoyle

Ben's step-father (Jan) is a remarkable resource for antiques and information who works the four major weekend swap-meets each month.

Discover do have a "sell" facility.
Sending individual LPs in the post sounds like a miserable business though.

If the money is important discogs does at least let you see quite quickly how much something has sold for in the past.
Bear in mind the higher price might be for something in mint condition.

Here is an example
https://www.discogs.com/Fairport-Convention-The-History-Of-Fairport-Convention/release/1682768
Type something in the search box to see how little\much your records might be worth.
