There will be no November Press Room (In Exile or Otherwise) Shanty, Forebitter and Foc's'le Ballad Session in Portsmouth, NH, this Saturday, November 18. Again...Still... And I think there's a good chance we won't be able to meet again until The Press Room reopens...perhaps in February.

The Friday trad session was able to meet for the past two Fridays at the Thirsty Moose in Portsmouth -- but the downstairs bar area is not available to us through the holidays.

As you know, The Press Room has been closed June. The GOOD news is that the sale of The Press Room was, at last, accomplished, so renovations ARE proceeding...including work on the recently discovered foundation problems under the rear wall.

I've exhausted all the possible temporary venues I can think of, which, because this session draws from both south of Boston, Massachusetts and north of Portland, Maine, really has to be Portsmouth or very close by.

Meanwhile, I and some friends are trying to get to the weekly Gloucester Chantey Sing (Monday nights) more often.
