Just because you are paranoid doesn't mean they are not out to get you...

They're the ones who make wee, tiddly blue lights appear over the swamp. Nothing to be afraid of.

Not that it wouldn't hurt to serenade them occasionally with delicate and mysterious music, probably modal. Stay on their good side, small as they are.

On second thought, it wouldn't hurt to serenade them occasionally with delicate music, preferably modal. They could have powerful friends.

Can understand that they might be an acquired taste, or even one you never acquire, but this band has been on the go since 1991, with a large number of line-up changes over the years, but they do really make the festivals in Scotland and elsewhere rock: they have a huge fan-base and have won plenty of awards for their music and live presentation, and commonly being final headline act on the last night of any festival with everyone bopping around in the mosh pit. Oh and if you look at their videos on YouTube, blue lights do seem to be popular!

Another great band - sadly not now with their original line-up - Old Blind Dogs. Check out their early recording of "Glen Kabul/Trip To Pakistan". On Spotify.

Yes, OBD have also been through many incarnations, Will. They still have Johnny Hardie, fiddler, and now doing more of the singing than he used to: the only original member left, I think. Liked them best during the Jim Malcolm years. (He is still out there doing solo stuff.)
