Has anyone else read Babbitt? This is what comes of having that "business administration" that George F. craved. Each one put in charge of agencies in this administration is a foxes guarding their particular hen house. This is an attractive hen house, and no doubt the Orange One has friends who are investors (and/or he himself owns stock) in the telecommunications and cable industries.

It just means Joe public is going to have to pay more and endure a multispeed internet service based on pricing, not traffic.(and probably even more interference with search engines)

ISP arguments are that they are not making enough money.
We already see how search engines display the highest fee payers.

The FCC Trump appointed chief cast the three person deciding vote.

He does not have the authority to change the internet forever.

The net has not been neutral since Goggle & Fakebook became dominant.

any search is biased to what they think is your usual area of interest, plus any outfit that pays enough gets top billing. Or is payed by foreign governments to.

What worries me is that this is another layer of fake news and corporate mendacity.

But it may be a tilt at Goggle, who would have to be a broadband provider to avoid this form of competition. And don't bet on them not trying it. They are doing just that with free WiFi in railway stations in India with super-fast fibre. A good proving ground IMNSHO.
