In the bleak mid winter, how I love to moan
My Telly’s on the blink and no signal on my phone
If I were a wise man, I’d seek help for sure
Doubtless be advised then, to get out some more

No help am I seeking, clueless as I am
Aerial just needs tweaking, so the roof I climb
Despite the cold wind biting, my old shell suit sufficed
Lord God Almighty, think I’ve turned to ice

Thought I’d try my phone now, whilst I am up here
Battery’s fully blown now, and that’s not all I fear
The wind’s blown down my ladder, to add to all my trials
At least at last I’ve had a night out on the tiles.
