Leonard Cohen's Take This Waltz, a translation of a poem by the Spanish poet Federico Garcia Lorca, was first published on an album called Poets in New York, a tribute album to Lorca which has songs by Theodorakis and various other people I haven't heard of. Has anyone got this, and can anyone give any information on what the rest of it is like? It's for sale secondhand on discogs.

That would be "little Viennese waltz," or, in the original,
"Pequeño vals Vienés" ,
from García Lorca's book Poeta en Nueva York.

García Lorca, assassinated in 1936, did publish this volume of poems during his lifetime, so they have been around for a while.
An English translation exists, perhaps more than one.
