Seed, I think what might be bothering you is the trying to focus on the problem, thus giving it power. Instead, focus on JU healed with no trace left, i.e. a perfectly normal throat, body, etc., all of his body's cells regenerating as healthy, pink and well.

Allison said it well, by focusing on the Light, we are doing everything we can to give healing a chance. By visualising it as a done deal, we are giving thanks that healing has already taken place. Of course, it DOES help if the person believes in this kind of healing work and also that we ask "for this or something better for the highest good of all concerned."

Yeah JU I am on board , I am sufficiently recovered to contribute. I say, Friends of the Mudcat Healing Circle with the Mega Full Moon on the 22nd, lets all focus what stray or purpose-aimed energy at it as an "aiming point" as a special Seasonal healing effort, so that anyone especially Sally, JU, and anyone else who needs the focused energy can get it Including many of our Mudcat friends who are "shy" of asking for things for themselves,and USE it.There is no harm in accepting help and healing Freely given, and is it not a dialogue, "to each according to their needs, from each according to their ability". "All for one, and one for all" BBs andlets make a great effort.

I'd like to modify my suggestion a bit: I am having a hard time visualizing the cancer, not having an exact picture of it, of J.U.'s throat, or even of J.U. himself. Would it be more effective if we were to focus our energies to his spirit and let J.U. direct them as needed? Kat, Micca, you guys know a lot more about this kind of thing than I do (I tried helping my brother fight his stomach cancer in this way, but then I could easily visualize him and I had a pretty good idea of where his cancer was and how large it was. My brother was working for a while with a therapist who used such visualization therapy, but I don't think Dave had any real belief in this kind of power--I think he spent most of his energy in the last months of his life trying to prepare himself--and his family--for his death.)

Good for you, Seed. It is important to include visualisation. Seeing his throat area surrounded and glowing with a rich orange, pink, or green healing light could help, along with envisioning the cancer disintegrating, as you suggest. Also, visualising a sucessful outcome of his visit to the doctor.

We did this with my mom and when they opened her up to remove the tumour they were astonished to find it gone! That was her second occurence of cancer. She went on to live another 20 years, cancer-FREE.

I'm trying to visualize the cancer, to will it to shrink, to will J.U.'s circulatory system to refuse it the blood it needs (there are therapies in various stages of development, both medical and homeopathic, aimed at this specific way of fighting cancer). Perhaps if we focus our energies--our thoughts, our prayers, our rituals--on a specific physiological response we can gain in choral resonance what we lack in individual power. My thoughts are also with J.U.'s spirit and with his family and friends, and those who love his music.

My friend J.U. (that's not an attempt at anonymity, its what we all know him by), is now fighting a recurrence of throat cancer. JU is the lead singer and primary writer for the traditional southern string band Upsala. They were just nominated in the first round for next year's grammy awards (not bad for a non-label, self-produced album). JU is on his way from Florida to Chicago today to see a specialist. We understand the recurrnce is in a particularly difficult place to treat, involving the carotid artery. This is one of our own who, along with his family, need every good vibe we can send his way.
