Sorry to have to announce the death of Finbar Boyle, stalwart of The Tradition Club in Slattery's of Capel St. in Dublin 70's and 80's. A great man who'll be sadly missed!

A wonderful man, particularly in his championing of Irish traditional music in Dublin. Fountain of knowledge in his time in Claddagh Records as well.

A lovely singer and organiser who contributed much to the Folk World. My condolences to all those who know and love him. He has earned his place in the Mudcat Roll of honour thread.

Very sad to hear that Finbar died last month.

Peter Browne had a tribute to him this week on rte radio 1.

Finbar was a gentleman and was liked and respected by musicians and singers alike.

Rest in peace Finbar. You will be missed.
