Subject: Origins: Ribbons of the Redheaded Girl From: Gordon Jackson Date: 08 Mar 18 - 10:00 AM Hi everyone, Does anyone know anything about the reel, The Ribbons of the Redheaded Girl? I heard it on Dave Swarbrick's 'Smiddyburn' album, loved it and recorded it, but know nothing about it! I don't even know if it's Irish or Scottish, whether it's ever appeared in print or who composed it. Can anyone help? Thanks, Gordon |
