I once gave my heart
to a part I played 15 years,
I watched the lights all go out,
and the last curtain call,

no one wants to see
an old man
play a young man's part,

and this dance I dance,
is a dance that is new to me

Hi Maureen,

Welcome to Mudcat.

It usually helps to have a little more information about the singer(s) - male, female, a group, a choir, a band etc - musicians, instruments, where and when the song was heard e.g. on a radio program, on TV, on a recording, (i.e. who, what, where, when) and anything you can remember about the song. This is especially helpful when there are no unusual or distinctive words or phrases to be able to do a Google search - which I just tried.

More information on the song may jog the memories of the people helping you with the search.

Helen
