Subject: R.I.P. Iain Bowley From: GUEST,Susie Date: 13 Apr 18 - 03:22 PM This coming Monday, April 16th, at 1pm, all those who knew and loved our old friend, Iain Bowley, will have chance to come together to pay their respects. Vale Royal Crematorium, Shurlach Lane, Davenham, nr. Northwich, Cheshire CW9 8RP. It's been suggested that it'd be best to come early, because a lot of people DID love and value Iain, one of the nicest people I've ever known. There will be a gathering afterwards at the "Bowling Green", 164, London Road, Northwich, Cheshire CW9 8AA [01606 624506], where it is hoped music and song will help lift him off. I've known Iain these 40 odd years. He was one of the four founder members of Northwich Folk Club. For donkey's years, he played in Madcap Ceilidh Band with Mike Billington. Iain was a darling of a man. He was carer for his nonagenarian mother right up to his untimely death. I'll leave it to others to fill in their memories: I still can't believe he's gone. Rest in peace; if anyone deserved to, it was Iain. |
