I have been watching with delight the film short (ca. 1947)"To Hear your Banjo Play" written by Alan Lomax, with Pete Seeger and other folk performers active during those post-war years. There were several figures whom I was unable to identify.

(a) the singer of What Wondrous Love (starting at 6:21);

(b) the two instrumentalists with Pete Seeger at 12:40, and

(c) the square dance caller, probably a member of Margot Mayo’s American Square Dance Group (starting at 12:50).

The film can be viewed at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l2iOqctAtGU

Was this made for the educational market? Any details about the production would also be appreciated.

RM
