Subject: RE: Motown folk! From: Dave the Gnome Date: 25 Apr 18 - 10:21 AM Conversely, anyone do any Motown down the folk club? IIRC Phil Hare used to do a splendid version of Stevie Wonder's 'Superstition'. |
Subject: Motown folk! From: Dave the Gnome Date: 25 Apr 18 - 05:29 AM Just listening to some old Motown stuff and have, so far, come across 'Blowin' in the wind' by Stevie Wonder and 'If I was a carpenter' by the Four Tops. Any other examples of Folk(ish) songs being given the Motown treatment? FWIW I quite like both the above mentioned versions. DtG |
