Subject: Tech: BT sudden higher download speed! From: Bonzo3legs Date: 26 May 18 - 08:54 AM We have a BT Infinity connection which for the past 6 months or so dropped its download speed from 2.0 Mbps to 1.7 Mbps, then suddenly last weekend it increased back up to 2.3Mbps and now peaks at 2.4Mbps. This means that a 1gb show, Jackson Browne on 15 May, took just over 7 minutes to download using utorrent. However not quite up to our BT Infinity connection at work which provides up to 5 Mbps download speed, but the the copper wire only travels 100 yards to the Box, whereas our house is 1/2 mile away! |
