Joe has made the eminently sensible point that for Mudcatters in America, or indeed any other country, it would be more economical for me to make the book available on PDF instead of mailing the thing. If anyone would like a copy this way, please do get in touch.

Good luck with the book, Ian. It sounds interesting.

Well, here's something I've never done before. I've told people about my records and things like that... but now it's a book!

Having retired from 'real' work, I'm still gigging a bit, home recording quite a lot, but it occurred to me that tales from my forty years as an unsuccessful musician and slightly more successful newspaper and showbiz writer might give people a laugh - so I put it into a book, a 'slim volume', which is now out. This is 'Are You With the Band?' and it's ever-so-slightly contentious in parts, but I do believe it has a laugh or a smile on every page. It's £3.95 in UK money, and in the unlikely event of a profit, we'll donate to an animal rescue charity.

Some details on my Wordpress - let's see if I've got the blue clicky right...

I do hope this does not sound too much like sales talk. All the best to Mudcatters everywhere.
