Hi All

My older Lachnal 30 button C/G with mahogany (I think!) fretted ends, bone buttons and 6 fold bellows s now surplus to requirements. It has just been professionally restored by Roy Whiteley. I have a newer box with the same spec, also restored by Roy, and selling this one will offset the cost of restoration!

I am going to put it on ebay and concertina.net of course but here is your chance for a Mudcat discount :-) I am hopeful of getting £1500 but if someone wants to get in first with a good offer, feel free. But don't be silly...

Cheers

Dave

Sorry - Should have added I am in Yorkshire, UK. I can deliver within reason or meet somewhere. I could ship but I think the delivery cost and insurance would be exorbitant.

Just looking at other pictures and it is a darker wood that mahogany. Rosewood possibly?

More likely, the mahogany ones are the cheapest range they did.

Best keep it in the EU (or UK) to avoid rosewood/CITES complications though.

Thanks Peter. It is not the low end one so I think rosewood would be the best guess. (Spell check just said firewood. Eeeek!) I shall take your advice.

Cheers

Dave

Mahogany were the cheapest then rosewood then ebony, the detail of fretwork is often an indicator of extra value, there is a group on facebook called concertinas for sale, lachenals varied very much in quality

I will post some. Anyone any preference for where? Google Drive or Dropbox or a specific photo site?

They are pre restoration as it is still with Roy till next week but they will be good enough.
