The Grauniad says there is a campaign to get Greenday's 'American Idiot' to number one in time for the POTUS visit.

It suggests Get Back by the Beatles as another apt anthem.

What other ideas for titles might Mustrad users have, I wondered.

Would 'Get Up and Bar the Door' do?

Songs would probably be too subtle. A smack across the face with a cricket bat may work but I doubt it would knock any sense into him.

If we have to stick to songs how about the fool on the (capitol) hill?

Well, I reckon 'Nellie The Elephant' would be favourite.

Ha, ha, charade you are
You well heeled big wheel
Ha, ha, charade you are
And when your hand is on your heart
You're nearly a good laugh
Almost a joker

The first time I saw the balloon, the first thing I thought of was Floyd's pig balloon. Figured maybe they re-worked it or something.

Dreamin on Air Force One to London

Sittin', shitin', stinkin', tweetin'
Wonderin' what he'll do when he's through insultin tonight
Gropin, mopin', maybe just hopin'
Some little girl will not stop him
He don't wanna be alone
but loves his girl at home
He remembers what she said
like a song stuck in 'is head
She said, "my, my, my, don't tell lies,
Keep fidelity in your head
My my my, don't tell lies,
When you're done you should go to bed
Don't tell lies like a spider to a fly
Don't tell people who your hero is or you're dead"
Sit up, fed up, don't look at all those faces
His enemies and friends all switch places
Betin', regretin', superficially thinkin'
About all the cash left on the global table
He dreamed he said "hi" like a spider to a fly
Rememberin' what his little girl said
She is scaple pretty, flirty,
but she looked about thirty
He should have run away with his daughter
At least he oughta today
but there is royal pussy in play
To the Queen of Hearts he said "hi"
like a spider to a fly
Jump right on the web
and tweet all there is to tell

"only Putin loves ME, so Allies can go to hell."

He Dreamed he's the greatest most powerful King

As the plane suddenly fell

Trump says England is in turmoil and Putin meeting will be the easiest.

If England does not win the world cup, you've got a scape jinx.

Achtung England subjects

Hell to the thief
He's the one you
must say Heil to
Hell to the thief
who breaks what
he can not take

Hell to the thief
Who who has caused
more hate & insult
Heil to the thief
Who says truth
is really fake

HEIL TO THE TRUMP
HE'S THE ONE YOU
MUST BE LOYAL TO
SIMPLY BECAUSE

All human RIGHTS
HAVE BEEN BANNED

Going back to the old days when serving in pubs/clubs until midnight was an exception allowed on New Year's Eve.
Sung by publicans following Auld Lang Syne, and to the same tune:

Go home you bums, Go home you bums, Go home you bums, Go home
Go home you bums, Go home you bums, Go home you bums, Go home

(although sung in the singular in this case)

I remember the Burnley supporters singing "Go back to Italy" to the tune of Santa Lucia when Burnley played Napoli at Turf Moor. Perhaps we could substitute "Washington" for Italy, though I'm sure that most yanks would change it to "Stay there in Eng-er-land..."

I used the "Nellie the Elephant" tune for my song about Trump, just after he was elected, Senofou, for that very obvious connection! It's on another thread somewhere.

How about: "Go away from our window,
Leave at our own chosen speed,
You're not the one we want, man.
You're not the one we need."

Was it them or Liverpool Scene who did the hate song? Included the line "you make me feel like a septic bowel".

In view of Trump's recent favourable pronouncements on the recently resigned foreign secretary Boris Johnson, Boris the Spider, a 'horror song' by John Entwistle of The Who, might do.

THE MAYBOT AND THE ORANGE-UTAN

Far far away, across the deep blue sea,
in the home of the brave, and the land of the free,
an orange-utan sat in a tall, tall tower,
singing his song about his wealth and his power ....
'Though I'm half a monkey and I'm half a fruit,
I look fine and funky in my three-piece suit.
You may think I'm strange, you may think I'm funny,
but I'm big and orange with piles of money ...
and the red-neck folk think I'm Heaven sent,
but the biggest joke is .... I'm the President!

Far far away, across the deep blue sea,
in the home of the brave, and the land of the free,
the orange-utan wanted to show his balls,
so he said he'd build the highest and tallest of walls.
He said: ...
'Unless you are orange, you can't live here,
and unless you are orange you can live in fear
of my big red button that is bigger than yours,
'cause you ain't got nuttin', so I got you by yours.
As I strut my stuff on my twittering pages,
better lock up your daughters in one of my cages ....
'cause the red-neck folk think I'm Heaven sent,
but the biggest joke is ... I'm the President!

Meanwhile ....
down in the den that they call Number Ten
was a Maybot who was feeling quite cross.
Yes, down in the den that they call Number Ten
she still clung to being the boss.
Because down in the den that they call Number Ten
things were not going so well.
In fact, down in the den that they call Number Ten
the poor Maybot was going through Hell.

As 'I'm strong and I'm stable' just didn't wash,
and 'Brexit means Brexit' just seemed utter tosh,
and the Poors down in Poorville found her callous and hateful,
and her closest of cronies were all mean and ungrateful ...
and they left her one by one ... one, two, three, four ...
and they left her one by one ... then a dozen or so more ...
until the only place to turn that she could see
was far far away, across the deep blue sea ....
For far far away, across the deep blue sea
in the home of the brave and the land of the free,
the orange-utan sat in his tall, tall tower
singing his song about his wealth and his power ....

So Maybot grovelled and she hovelled and she held his hand,
and she curtsied and she skirtsied all acrosss the land,
and she grovelled and she hovelled, if you know what I mean,
and she took him up to Windsor to meet the Queen,
and she rolled out the carpet of the reddest red,
and she rolled out the carpet, and yet all he said: ...
'Though I'm half a monkey and I'm half a fruit,
I look fine and funky in my three-piece suit.
Dear Maybot, as a leader you're Number Two.
Even that clown, Boris would be better than you!

A number of bands have written songs with the title "Fuck Off And Die". Couldn't give a toss what the lyrics are about... ;-)

Excellent, Freddy! :D
