Subject: 'complete chord alphabet' songs From: Andy7 Date: 14 Jul 18 - 07:07 PM When I play Paul Simon's 'Bridge Over Trouble Water', in the key of C, I need to use the complete 'chord alphabet'; i.e. at least one chord with each of the letters A to G in its name. (I use Am, A7, Bb, C, C7, D, E7, F, G and G7.) What other songs require the complete 'chord alphabet'? N.B. I don't include those pop songs that raise the key by a tone each time they repeat a verse/chorus! |

Ignoring jazz players’ passion for passing chords, most standard songs (32 bar pop songs of yesteryear) tend to use the full range of chords, for example the chorus alone to Long Way to Tipperary. |
