Me neither. Just a link from a nameless stranger with no explanation or introduction?

Well the link works, but it's difficult to hear the quiet song in the background while a man's voice is talking. It's only a short clip.

The song doesn't sound familiar to me. It would help A LOT if the original poster gave more info on the sound clip.

You could be right. It might be a wind-up.

Neither have I.
It sounds to me as if this whole sound-bite might be
a commercial advertisement.

The foreground sound, a man's speaking voice, is in WHAT language?
Not English, as anybody can tell.
Is it Brazilian Portuguese, which I don't understand?
The woman's singing voice in the background has lousy diction,
maybe I should temper that and say "lazy" diction.
I understood
the words "by yourself" and no others.

Once is enough for me.
I can take it or leave it.

Speaking in German. Describing someone called Claudia. Could be a film trailer. No idea what the background music is.

Hello Averybody and thank you for 1st feedbacks.

The tune is from a footage from 1979 in a french documentary about Diego Maradona from 2006. The commentator speaks german.
The music played is part of the orig footage and is in a scene where 19y old Diego is dancing with his girlfiend on a party where that music is played. So its rather a record than a commercial.

I Think the track os from 1976-1979, max. 1981,
You can hear a early drum machine in the music.
Also its a an ameraican female folk voice that sounds like a child.
In some way the voice sound very familar.
The genre i would say folk/folk-rock/pop-folk/prog-rock.

The words I can listen out:
"tomorrow there's another day" .. ."wish/with yourself"

Maybe a native speaking englsih person can hear out more ????

The movie is "Maradona, un gamin en or" by Jean-Christophe Rosé. So far I haven't found anything about the soundtrack.

Made by Arte in French German and English versions. I just watched a bit if the French version on YouTube - it looks quite interesting. The words of this song, behind the French narration, are a bit more audible.

I don't think this song is contemporary with the video. There is other background music by Gotan Project - maybe this is.

Gotan had a piece about Maradona "el 10" which included crowd cheering. I may still have the CD (Inspiracion - Espiración?) at home. Or am I thinking about the Concentration Troilo band?

Perhaps the credits at the end of the movie give information about the song.

The YouTube video Guest linked to is the one you identified - "Maradona, un Gamin en Or". Whoever uploaded it gave it the title "La Main de Dieu". "La mano de Dios" is a different video.

I've now watched about half of it - it's quite good. I'm not a football fan so I've heard of, but never seen, this 'Hand of God' incident. There's a lot of Tango which I think is all Gotan Project, who are the credited at the end.

The soundtrack is not subtle. Tango when he's dancing with the ball, switching to Mahler (?) when he's fouled and carried off!

The song in question - at about 00:06:25 - spans two bits of video, the first originating from RAI. The soundtrack might date from the RAI programme or, as I suspect, this video.

I am also not a big football fan, but i got spellbound by this documentary. In the german language version u can hear the tune in question a bit better.

Heres my mp3 cutout: Maradonna.mp3

I already had a look in Credits, theres no ref to that tune in there.

@DaveRo: The soundtrack dates from the RAI programme and this is 1978-1980 coz Maradona is 19.

@Monique: The OST you linked is from a Movie, an italian producion with same title.

According to IMDB, the Menntioned Documentary has diffrent titles:
IMDB

Maradonna - The Golden Kid is the international title.

Can anyone hear moree words than I do ???

I could grab "she'll be..." and "yourself" only. Ludovic Escallier was the re-recording mixer / sound editor but I couldn't find any way to get in touch with him.

In the first link provided, I couldn't hear the song very well but the woman's voice sounded a bit like Cyndi Lauper to me. I only know a couple of her songs so I couldn't tell if it was one of hers.

To me it sounds like an american/californian voice but who knows...

But I can clearly hear that warm sound of an eaely Roland CR-78 Drum machine or similar...
