I'm contemplating getting one of these - as opposed to the over-hyped, twice-the-price Bose Wave.

Does anyone have any any experience of the Yamaha?

Have no idea on this item,
but can't recall ever seeing a bad review of a Yamaha audio product...

My own preference is the affordable Denon D-M40, very positively reviewed by HiFi media;
now replaced by the D-M41...

We have two.

But this all in one mini unit requires separate good quality bookshelf speakers...
Which altogether may still be approx the same price as the Yamaha....???

The wife has an Amazon Echo dot plugged into the living room D-M40,
and I listen to CDs on headphones when she goes to bed.

The CD transport and D/A converters are highly rated by reviewers,
comparing well to HiFi separates CD players.

Richersounds and Superfi, etc.. sell discounted bundles of D-M41 and good bookshelf speakers...
