Subject: RE: Delaney and Bonnie (and Friends) From: Dave the Gnome Date: 04 Aug 18 - 04:06 AM Thanks for the info, Will. Interesting stuff. I'm surprised they did not have a bigger following in the US. I remember that "Never ending love" song though. Not one of their better moments. |
Subject: RE: Delaney and Bonnie (and Friends) From: GUEST,keberoxu Date: 03 Aug 18 - 12:20 PM In these (dis)United States, Delaney and Bonnie had a hit single that started with the words, I've got a never-ending love for you ... With Clapton, there was a hit single, Only You Know and I Know. |
Subject: RE: Delaney and Bonnie (and Friends) From: Will Fly Date: 03 Aug 18 - 10:54 AM Bonnie Bramlett's a great singer - her time with Delaney only lasted 5 years, from 1967 to 1972. She made many solo albums after that. Her daughter became a singer and replaced Stevie Nicks in Fleetwood Mac. |

Subject: Delaney and Bonnie (and Friends) From: Dave the Gnome Date: 03 Aug 18 - 06:25 AM While Spotify surfing some old Eric Clapton stuff I was reminded of his involvement with Delaney and Bonnie during his Blind Faith period. I am now listening to the album of the same name as above and really enjoying it. They were only well known really in the UK for 'Coming Home' and 'Groupie (Superstar)'. Were they better known in the US? Out of interest I also discovered that Bonnie was born in Alton, Illinois. One of the few places in the States that I have visited! DtG |
