No more needs to be said really. We have them in Britain and the US, but it does seem that Australia has at least its fair share of these creeps.

Maybe there should be a vote in Australia on whether immigration is right, and whether immigrants should stay. But voting should be limited to those who can show that their ancestors have lived in the country for more than 250 years.

Having said all that, Australia is a very tolerant country, and its people, particularly the younger people, embrace multiculturalism. You can see this in the centre of any city or large suburb. In the country towns, not so much. Anyone living there will have seen the series of ads run by the insurance company CGU. "As Australian as it comes" is the punchline, when referring to recent immigrants who have started their own small businesses.

Anning is a nasty racist creep, along the lines of Tommy Robinson or Steve Bannon. Katter on the other hand, just seems to be stark raving bonkers.

Them, yes, but when I lived in Australia, then Joh Bjelke Petersen and Russ Hinze strode the political stage in Queensland. In a sense todays racists are better. They only dump upon those who have as much right to be in Australia as they do. The racists of the 70s and 80s dumped on those who had far more right to be in Australia than they did.

too true.

John Dengate almost cried when Joh left politics as he thought he had no one left to write about!

Naturally other politicians rose & fell so John kept writing. Dale has continued his tradition with the current crop of politicians, tho she is not as prolific as he was.

And of course the entrants in the John & Dale Dengate Parody competitions keep up the good work
