Totally brilliant (and definitely not forgotten).

I've got no excuse for mislaying them in the back of my mind for more than 3 decades...
They're one of our few west country bands that it made big enough to be produced by George Martin...

My only plea is that down here we grow up risking our braincells on a lifetime enjoyment of rough cider ...

I doubt I'd find they've aged well, but I have a lingering affection for The Man In The Bowler Hat. Didn't a couple of them turn into Korgis?

Get down to the M Shed museum in Bristol. Until mid- late-September, there is an exhibition of Bristolian music: jazz, folk and rock.

It's all there: Acker Bilk, Adge Cutler, Fred Wedlock, the Village Thing stable AND Stackridge.

I'm still whistling the flute riff from 'Slark' after all these years!

George - cheers for that.. I was well into the music scene in the early to mid 80s...
.. and worked at The Industrial Museum [what trendy pillock thought up the name M Shed...!!!???]

I'm overdue a train up to Bristol for a look round...

..but it's a bugger falling asleep on the last train home and not waking up until the end of the line...
i'm getting too old for finding somewhere to crash until the the first early morning train home...

[must stay out of the cider pubs..must stay out of the cider pubs..must stay out of the cider pubs..
must stay out of the cider pubs.. oh it's no use.. just one or two then..]
