Our magical multiverse tours here and all the other hypothetical theories of our Cosmos have some weird and wonderful places. Especially at the interfaces of differing forces be it a beach on Earth or stuff swirling around an event horizon. From an infinite multiverse quilt or a finite curved and expanding space to a dizzying quantum maze -RELAX- things are still as they are depending upon the kind of eyes you use to look at them, from your naked eyes to brave new telescopes.

A decade ago we toured a quantum rabbit hole and last year I wandered into six different kinds of imaginary space similar 6 six versions of the same particle.

So lets ask which theory out there is right ?(stringMsymetreymultiverse...ad infintitum)?

It becomes obvious a combination of our radical measurements of the cosmos offers real answers right now.
It is said that comparing ourelves to the cosmos is dangerous, biased, simplistic and unintuitive - yet we are made by the cosmos.

So lets reverse engineer ourselves for a second to organize a human concept. We are us, we are cells, we are 20% other stuff like bacteria and minerals. Our cells are told what to do by rules stored in our DNA.
Natural laws can be thought of like the DNA of the cosmos.

As you can see, DNA expresses itself in a multitude of variations.
I have believed we are in a multiverse for the last 20 years but if you ask if other vague versions of ourselves exist elswhere, I would say it looks as likely as finding folks similar to ourselves in looks and thoughts right here on Earth..

Questions seem to move as fast as light but answers are heavy and come slow. The answer to the universe is not 42 after all.
For all the possible number of quantum possibilities to happen since this universe began is like 2x10 to the 120 power. That is finite.
This may suggest even the multiverse is technically finite.

Where are we? It can be described like a roadmap. We are in a top 10 galaxy interms of largeness in a group of galaxies moving toward a larger Magellanic cloud of galaxies being pulled by a great attractor etc etc etc But we are in a much more beautiful place aren't we.

Based on responses I can assume we are alone.


Will we find an edge to the universe with infrared telescopes or is it unobservable and too big to ever see it?

There are so many proposed mechanisms of describing RED SHIFT with even more adjustable parameters, it is possible that a few might fit experimental results within measurement errors. However, this doesn’t mean that the model is right.
Another method might be required in the future to decide which, if any, of these provides a good explanation for the red-shift.

During the great depression of the 1930’s, it was observed that men wearing gold watches were in better
health than other people. The correlation between gold and the weight of these men was explained with some
assumed property of gold. Although the theory explained the observations very well, it was certainly incorrect
- richer men who could afford to buy gold had enough money to feed themselves. This anecdote is to be remembered when considering all available models and how well they fit experimental data

I bet we just missed seeing the edge of the cosmos and we will never know for sure. The data is coming soon so I hope to be proven wrong.

In short, the farther away the galaxy the more it is accelerating away from an observer.

We're where we've always been: on a smallish planet in an unimportant solar system in the margins of a backwater spiral arm of a minor galaxy. But fret not, we won't be here long.

NASA rockets in the future will look like NASCAR cars in that they will have sponsors like BUDWIESER printed on the sides. They are privatizing part of thier progrm as well as the ISS

It is part of human nature to speculate... at least for some.
Others treat hypothetical metaphysics and physics much as Dr. Johnson (of dictionary fame) did when it was suggested to him that Bishop Berkley's 'immaterialism' might be true... and Johnson 'refuted' it by kicking a stone.
   Some folks simply can't relate to abstract concepts unless they involve 'God'... and they really only do that to cover their bets.

But, as Richard P. Feynman said about his complex concepts..." If I could explain it to the average person, I wouldn't have been worth the Nobel Prize."

Well I am not worth a Noble prize but I'll try to explain things to passer bys. :^)

I can separate the big concepts from the details down in the weeds but understanding them is a toss up. Mostly I'm just dropping a note about an idea... for example I dreamed up the reason we can not see dark matter is because it obeys a different arrow of time than our matter! But it is still as complex as our matter.

Yep.... IF you accept the basic premise, it makes sense. Personally, I had enough Philosophy courses that 'accepting' premises is.... ummmm... as awkward as trusting politicians.

It is simply fascinating to watch the turnover as new ideas are tried out.

There are more BHs than we first speculated. They are black escept for a hot ring on the outside.

My 'new idea' about dark matter following a different arrow of time is in fact an older idea from several years ago. I googled this concept and there is even a telescope in Peru detecting space time variations in dense dark matter regions that involve a link to time.
When you do not know what something is, you look for how that something effects something else. Our solar system has some dark matter but very little, about as much as a large asteroid. Other regions of space have incredible amounts like the hub of our galaxy.
There are hundreds of investigators looking for dark matter and time links.

As a neophyte I am at least asking relevant questions. Now I see gravity as just a function of space time. To see the invisible dark matter portion of the universe, hidden invisible galaxies are coming into view.

Some of the time reversed ideas about dark matter relies on a guess of anti-tachyons inhabiting the regions of dark matter. Anti Tachyons go from the speed of light at its slowest and speeds up from there.
This is hard to swallow but the math works better.
