A fine actor, will be missed, I didn't know he was a musician.

Excellent actor, didn't know he was a folkie.
Very sorry to hear of his death.

Dudley was in the original Joan Littlewood production of Brendan Behan's
play 'The Hostage', 14/10/1958.

Lovejoy had all character actors, so he fit right in.

The Leather Boys was a bit of an eye opener for me when I watched it on telly as a very young kid...

[no spoilers please... not everyone has seen it...]

I'm fairly sure I watched it with the family,
mum and dad keen for me to know a bit about their biker days in the early 1950s...
This film might have surprised them a bit more than comfortable,
viewing it with me and my baby sister...

Dudley Sutton stuck in my mind ever since...

Oh no, Tinker!

I can't find any reference to him as a folk musician.

He appeared in the Beiderbecke Affair too.

Curiously I was watching an old episode of the Kenneth Branagh version of 'Wallander' last night with Dudley Sutton in it.

Yes, the Leather Boys - first time I ever saw him.
He was terrific. Never forgot him.
RIP bonny lad.
