Subject: RE: Ken Wilson and Jim Mcfarland Skipton From: Dave the Gnome Date: 23 Sep 18 - 05:26 AM I am hoping to go to 3 days a week in January with Tuesday being one of my days off. Without a 6 o'clock start on a Tuesday, Monday night's at Skipton will become much more do-able! But, alas, doesn't help with this Monday. I'm sure it will be a grand do with or without me. |

Absolutely superb night. How anyone can accuse Jim of singing dirges is beyond me. A magnificent singer with an enormous repertoire and an engaging stage presence. |
Subject: RE: Ken Wilson and Jim Mcfarland at Skipton-24 Sept From: Liberty Boy Date: 25 Sep 18 - 02:53 AM Listen to Jim singing 'Willie Ward' or 'The Wee Lass on the Brae', nothing dirge like at all. One of the best voices in Irish Traditional Singing IMHO. |
