Anyone with the name Wilson on the Folk scene will do for me and Ken is superb. Jim is one of my favourite singers. I'm running the night and looking forward to it, so please come along and support the club.
Skipton folk club The Narrowboat pub.
See you there Tomorrow Monday 24th.

I am hoping to go to 3 days a week in January with Tuesday being one of my days off. Without a 6 o'clock start on a Tuesday, Monday night's at Skipton will become much more do-able! But, alas, doesn't help with this Monday. I'm sure it will be a grand do with or without me.

Is that Mac who used to sing with the Fettlers by any chance?

No he's a very fine Irish singer. He worked with Len Graham Joe Holmes and Frank Harte, and re.corded with his family

I'll come along with friends if Jim sings some lively songs mostly are all dirges whereas Ken livens up the show.

Jim's' singing is exemplary. You could learn a lot. I did.

Caught Jim and Ken at the Musical Traditions at King & Queen London on Friday last.

Absolutely superb night.

How anyone can accuse Jim of singing dirges is beyond me. A magnificent singer with an enormous repertoire and an engaging stage presence.

Listen to Jim singing 'Willie Ward' or 'The Wee Lass on the Brae', nothing dirge like at all. One of the best voices in Irish Traditional Singing IMHO.
