Subject: RE: Tenterden Folk Festival From: GUEST,Jerry Date: 03 Oct 18 - 12:08 PM The programme is available on line, but not that easily for those without smart phones by the sound of it. Other free music and song sessions are available, as they say, throughout the weekend. |

SUNDAY Music Session at The Lion (in the High Street) VIC & TINA SMITH invite you to this open session for musicians. 12.00 - 14.30 It would be good to se some Mudcatters at these. |
Subject: RE: Tenterden Folk Festival From: Vic Smith Date: 03 Oct 18 - 07:17 AM Somewhat annoying to see that people cannot access the full programme when I have been posted a large batch of them and cannot get rid of them all! |
Subject: RE: Tenterden Folk Festival From: DaveRo Date: 03 Oct 18 - 04:04 AM Thanks for the kind offers. I wrote in my calendar to go on Sunday. I should be able to fire up a laptop and out what's on by then. ISTR Granny's Attic are playing. |
Subject: RE: Tenterden Folk Festival From: GUEST,Jerry Date: 03 Oct 18 - 03:24 AM All the venues and events are within easy walking distance of each other, and you pick up programmes on arrival, to avoid wandering aimlessly about looking for what you want. |
Subject: RE: Tenterden Folk Festival From: GUEST,FloraG Date: 03 Oct 18 - 03:23 AM Let me know what you are interested in and I can let you know whats on where. I picked up a programme at Deal. You are likely to find us at a sing around session Friday, and Saturday evening - unfortunately Bob Kenwood can't host this year, in the pub at the very far end of the high street, and in the Vines Sunday lunch. Subject: RE: Tenterden Folk Festival From: DaveRo Date: 03 Oct 18 - 02:25 AM A bit late to get one by post. I assume they get some financial benefit from only providing the programme in this way. On my laptop it's merely irritating. On this mobile it's useless. Still - not your problem, Sarah. Hope it goes well. |
Subject: RE: Tenterden Folk Festival From: Sarah the flute Date: 02 Oct 18 - 01:30 PM It's only on issue but you can request a print one from the organisers |
Subject: RE: Tenterden Folk Festival From: DaveRo Date: 02 Oct 18 - 11:49 AM Has anybody got the programme in a sensible format - e.g. a PDF? |
Subject: RE: Tenterden Folk Festival From: Dave the Gnome Date: 02 Oct 18 - 09:10 AM Can we refer to it as the Lone Ranger festival. Tenterden Tenterden Tenterden-den-den I'll get my coat. :D |
Subject: RE: Tenterden Folk Festival From: Mr Red Date: 02 Oct 18 - 06:08 AM What's on on Monday? Sightseeing? Ceilidh/Barn Dance on Friday. |
Subject: Tenterden Folk Festival From: Sarah the flute Date: 02 Oct 18 - 05:30 AM It's nearly time for Tenterden again and there is a great line up of guests and a fantastic folk play by Mick Ryan as the highlight. Morrigan will be kicking things off on the Bandstand in Ashford on Thursday from 11am to about 2.30pm and will also be doing a tunes session on Friday lunchtime and then the Friday night festival ceilidh. We will be the main guests in the final singaround in the Caxton on Sunday evening but will make impromptu appearances in other singarounds too This is a great festival with lots of open free sessions in the pubs, morris and other dancing plus a good selection of "names" in the concerts. The weather is predicted to be fine and sunny - what more could you wish to do this weekend? Full Tenterden Programme |
