Subject: BS: Donald's Achilles heel. From: Donuel Date: 10 Oct 18 - 10:21 AM Some think Twittler is unassailable and made of solid Teflon. Aside from criminal investigation, the Trump folly that will strike an unexpected fatal blow is called R-15. While many here love Trump, they love their cars and pick up trucks MORE. Trump is pushing mandatory R15 gasoline&alcohol mix year around to curry favor with corn farmers. The thing is, R-15 will eat engine seals, mixing coolant and oil which turns into overheating and engine overhauls in cars pre and post 2007. I am betting people who love Trump, love their car more. Even a Trump lie does not make your oil leak go away. Nor does his base drive electric cars. |

Subject: RE: BS: Donald's Achilles heel. From: CupOfTea Date: 10 Oct 18 - 11:20 AM Hardly raises to the level of Achilles heel. Gonna take loads more than that to sour his base. |
Subject: RE: BS: Donald's Achilles heel. From: Black belt caterpillar wrestler Date: 10 Oct 18 - 11:25 AM I presume this is the same mix of fuel that my Skoda Yeti manual tells me not to use as it will void the manufacturer's guarantee. Robin |
Subject: RE: BS: Donald's Achilles heel. From: Donuel Date: 10 Oct 18 - 12:00 PM flex fuel is up to 85% alcohol. Cup of Tea that raises the question that no Achilles heel exists. Fast or slow moving events all have their problems. Its the fear that Trump could kill their car is what motivates people. I may be wrong but Americans feel more strongly about someone killing their car than someone killing their dog. It is a real danger. I admit this strategy borders on dirty politics but Trump is pretty dirty and times feel desperate. This is not worthy of an October surprise. Better imaginations than mine plan those surprises. They surprise me. |

Subject: RE: BS: Donald's Achilles heel. From: Bee-dubya-ell Date: 10 Oct 18 - 06:43 PM I'm sure Trump is far better equipped to know whether or not E-15 gasoline will harm your car than the totally incompetent engineers who designed the thing. After all, he knows more about everything than the so-called experts. That "E-10 ONLY" label on the gas cap of my wife's Highlander must be based on fake engineering data being spread by the failing Toyota. |
Subject: RE: BS: Donald's Achilles heel. From: Donuel Date: 10 Oct 18 - 06:59 PM My wife says Trumpists will not believe it and if they do get an engine oil leak they will blame the Mexican at Jiffy Lube. A magic bullet may not exist. I have no experience with dirty deals done dirt cheap. |
Subject: RE: BS: Donald's Achilles heel. From: Mr Red Date: 11 Oct 18 - 03:29 AM Will he serve a second term? It will take 2 years for any deterioration of a car engine to kick in. They will blame the next president maybe. Anyways, his Twitleriness doesn't need another heel, he is all heel. |
Subject: RE: BS: Donald's Achilles heel. From: Thompson Date: 11 Oct 18 - 05:45 AM The current American polity has made incivility a virtue. It will take a generation - at least - for the pleasure of screaming at 'enemies' to change. |
Subject: RE: BS: Donald's Achilles heel. From: Donuel Date: 11 Oct 18 - 08:44 AM After thinking about it, what was it that nearly ruined the Beatles in America? Lennon said the Beatles were as popular as Jesus. Everyone would easily believe Trump would say "I am MORE popular than JESUS. They could even listen to the smart phone recording Like a self proclaimed god, Caesar fell into this abyss. There are already rumblings by fundamentalist priests on TV that hint at purging Trumpian values if not the man. Destroy from within and divide. MUAHaahaahaaha |

Subject: RE: BS: Donald's Achilles heel. From: Joe Offer Date: 11 Oct 18 - 10:14 PM The thing is, R-15 will eat engine seals, mixing coolant and oil which turns into overheating and engine overhauls in cars pre and post 2007. R-15 is a measure for insulation, Donuel. I think you mean E-15 fuel, which is a mixture of 15% ethanol with 85% gasoline. Snopes says your contention is partly true, although not the part about blaming Trump. -Joe- |
Subject: RE: BS: Donald's Achilles heel. From: Donuel Date: 11 Oct 18 - 11:01 PM I would never stuff insulation into my engine oil. However we could use some R15 in the attic. (;^/ Hey Joe I am starting to kick ass on the cello ukulele and am starting guitar. picking patterns are easier thought of than done. |
Subject: RE: BS: Donald's Achilles heel. From: EBarnacle Date: 12 Oct 18 - 10:37 AM SAABs used to have plastic fuel tanks. One morning my niece went down to her garage and found a puddle of gasoline under the car. The E-10 had eaten through the tank. A fire department Haz-Mat team had to do the cleanup. |
Subject: RE: BS: Donald's Achilles heel. From: Big Al Whittle Date: 12 Oct 18 - 11:08 AM well if that's all you've got on him - I reckon you're stuffed. It was a bit like that under Thatcher. Everyone knew she was bonkers, but she was teflon coated, and had the luck of the devil. Someone once said, its possible to go through life believing the moon is made of green cheese. But eventually it will matter and you will encounter problems and come unstuck. Thus it was with monetarism and Thatcher - and it will be Trump, and using the KGB to win elections. |
Subject: RE: BS: Donald's Achilles heel. From: Donuel Date: 12 Oct 18 - 04:18 PM Achilles heel or not... May we live to see the Trump Hotel Museum Tomb and Gift Shop. I can see it now, His long red ties behind glass that he had urinated on, the mattress that was urinated on, a list of 1000 people he pissed on via tweet. The leatherette bound compendium of his tweets for only $499.99 Where are they going to stash his 'golden' casket? Certainly not Arlington Cemetary. Queens? Peurto Rico? Atlantic City? La Brea Tar pits? Soggy Bottom? Most likely it will be Trump Tower or his DC Hotel? |
Subject: RE: BS: Donald's Achilles heel. From: Donuel Date: 12 Oct 18 - 04:29 PM btw I used to visit my wife at work in the building that Trump turned into a hotel. It is next to Union Station. It had fine marble walls. Where it wasn't marble the walls were solid Malachite. I wonder what happened to those walls. |
Subject: RE: BS: Donald's Achilles heel. From: Stilly River Sage Date: 12 Oct 18 - 08:40 PM It's a historic/registered structure, isn't it? So he can't make permanent changes or mark up anything. If you've ever been into the post office at Bowling Green in NYC, it used to be the Cunard Line building - all of the walls are simply tall footed partitions that won't scratch the floors or mark the walls. Desks are free-standing, etc. Of course he could have decided he's above the law. |
Subject: RE: BS: Donald's Achilles heel. From: EBarnacle Date: 13 Oct 18 - 01:19 AM I believe he has designated the Trump Bedminster golf course in NJ as the site of his tomb. |
Subject: RE: BS: Donald's Achilles heel. From: Thompson Date: 13 Oct 18 - 05:10 AM Surely Trump's achilles heel is the products of the red states, which is why China is targeting this produce with its tariffs, to hit his supporters? |
Subject: RE: BS: Donald's Achilles heel. From: Mossback Date: 13 Oct 18 - 10:38 AM His supporters don't bloody CARE that they're getting economically screwed by Trump- they love him still. |
Subject: RE: BS: Donald's Achilles heel. From: Donuel Date: 14 Oct 18 - 09:31 AM No one other than Trump makes it OK to hate certain races. All other racist candidates who make hate center stage, do not do as well. The slings and arrows of folk protest music and political humor do wound but do not seem fatal. Our songs are either about victimization or they are revolutionary songs of rebellion. Instead of victims I think we should be the champions. Maybe there is that one song that allows us to come together like This land belongs to you and me. But Now, that song is untrue on its face. We need a new LIE IN THE SKY. So what is the vulnerable target. Have I heard you say what it is or have I missed it. The left is already against Trump at an 11. It is the 38% that we need to reach perhaps through country music. |
Subject: RE: BS: Donald's Achilles heel. From: Donuel Date: 14 Oct 18 - 10:03 AM I have been looking for the alternatives. The obvious answer is a real Trump war over lies & $ and our dead kids. |
Subject: RE: BS: Donald's Achilles heel. From: Donuel Date: 16 Oct 18 - 08:28 AM The candidate that will tell the truth about opioid addiction that touches 49% of families and the opioid profiteering by Trump and friends will win. There is nothing like a death/murder in the family to get out the vote. |
Subject: RE: BS: Donald's Achilles heel. From: Donuel Date: 16 Oct 18 - 08:58 AM Public amnesia takes about 3 months as I see it. Americans do not care about the child separation policy anymore. But overdose/death is forever present. So do gun deaths but it seems to be an untouchable issue except for young voters. |
