It just occurred to me, after starting a radio thread a moment ago,
that Bob Bittner may deserve a thread all to himself.
In coastal New England in the US, he is a one-man institution.
I mentioned him on the radio thread
and then
decided to open this thread;
maybe it won't go, but it's worth a try.
